Mode of Assessment VI To VIII:

The academic year shall be divided into two terms (Term-I: April to September /Term-II: October to March). The students will be assessed continuously and comprehensively throughout the year based on PERIODIC TESTS and TERM END EXAMINATIONS.

One cycle of Periodic Tests and Term End Examinations will be conducted in each term as in the following parameters (as per CBSE):

b) The students will also be assessed for discipline, which will be based on attendance, sincerity, values, behavior, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others, on a 3-point grading scale (A-C).

c) To prepare the students to cover the whole syllabus of academic year and face the challenges of Class-X board Examination, the syllabus for the Annual Examination for classes VI-VIII has been designed by the CBSE, with regular increase in learning. assessment, as the students move forward.

Mode of Assessment IX To X:

The students will be assessed continuously and comprehensively throughout the year based on PERIODIC TESTS (PT-I, PT-II, and PT-III) HALF YEARLY EXAMINATIONS / ANNUAL EXAMINATION / BOARD EXAM as per CBSE GUIDELINES.

Three cycles of Periodic Tests / Half Yearly / Annual Examination will be conducted in the complete term as per the following parameters:

Class-X (Scholastic Area)
  1. The academic structure for class-X for the academic year 2023-24 will be according to the Remodeled Assessment Structure as per CBSE Circular No.: Acad-11/2019 (F.1001/CBSE/Dir(Acad)/2019) Dated: 06/03/2019.
  2. Periodic Tests will be conducted in the Academic Year for every subject.
  3. Average of the best 2 Periodic Test will be taken (reduced to 05 marks) for the Final Marks submission.
  4. Syllabus for the Periodic Test will increase cumulatively.
  5. Board Exams will cover 100% syllabus of each subject.
  6. Students have to secure 33% marks in Internal Assessment and Board Examinations, together.
  7. Different activities will be conducted in the entire year for Subject Enrichment Activity

Class XI

Promotion Policy

a. To be eligible to qualify Class-IX/XI examination, a student shall have to obtain a minimum of 33% in five main subjects (as per the scheme of study) to be promoted to Class-X/XII. In the case of subject(s) involving practical work in Class-XI, a student must obtain 33% in theory and practical separately, in addition to 33% in aggregate.

b. A student failing in one of the five main subjects shall be placed in COMPARTMENT in that subject and ONLY ONE ATTEMPT of RE-TEST shall be provided in the Annual Examination.

c. The students of Class-XI who have opted for Health Care/ Financial Management and Marketing (FMM) as an Additional Subject, the modalities as per CBSE guidelines shall be applicable as per the circular.

d. Students failing in two or more subjects shall be detained in Class-IX/XI.

Attendance

Please ensure that your ward attends the school regularly. Also, be informed that students will be allowed to appear for the Half Yearly/Annual Examination only when he/she attains 75% ATTENDANCE in each term.
